Yoga is a great tool for athletes of all levels – whether you are a recreational athlete or a competitive athlete! Join us for Yoga for Athletes, a workshop designed to assist athletes in training (for ANY sport- rowing, tennis, running, swimming, soccer, etc!)

Why Yoga for athletes?

Olympians and pro-athletes use yoga to take their sport to the next level, and this four- week series will provide you with the skills to incorporate yoga into your training. Yoga aids body awareness, balance, and focus while supporting recovery. Studies have shown that practicing yoga over several weeks can reduce overuse injuries and optimize performance efficiency. Topics will include preventions of and solutions for common injuries, increasing flexibility, and improving mental endurance through yoga.

This series will be led by Jennifer McCracken, (RYT-200, 8x marathoner and 20x half-marathoner), and each session will include a discussion on ways to enhance your training and prevent injuries, followed by a vinyasa yoga practice. Be prepared for some fun giveaways and surprises along the way!

Jennifer McCracken is RYT-200, with several advanced trainings and an avid runner. She is an 8x marathoner and 20x half-marathoner.  You’ll frequently see Jenn running on the SRT or the hills of Conshy, possibly with her two little ones in tow!
