Balance & Bind

In this workshop style class, we will explore various ways to balance & binds. Binds are often offered as an option in public classes, but how do you work towards finding them in your practice?

Come explore various balance poses, then add in the extra challenge of a bind within the posture to find balance in a more complex shape. Alissa will sequence the workshop so your body is ready to move into this deeper work (a strap can be used to extend the length of your arm) and provide tips to find balance from the ground up. Practicing balance in complicated positions teaches your body and mind how to work together. When you find a strong foundation with internal lightness, many more postures become accessible and possible. This obviously takes practice, but the hope is that this work will make your day-to-day life a little easier and lighter.

This workshop is perfect for students with some experience looking to go deeper into more challenging balances.
