Intro to Meditation
Finding it hard to start a meditation practice? Join Nicole Durant for a 90 minute Intro to Meditation workshop.
In this workshop we will discuss philosophy, practical applications, different types and pitfalls that most people find when starting a practice. Students will be given tips and advice needed to start a home practice.
Nicole will introduce you to several types of meditations and we will practice the following:
– Metta or Loving-kindness meditation
– Meditation based on common breath techniques
– Trataka (candle gazing)
There will be time for Q&A after each technique above.
This workshop will provide a way to start a practice that will best suit you and your lifestyle.
*Please dress in comfortable attire in order to sit relaxed for a period of time. Chairs and bolsters will be available to provide comfort during the workshop.
