january community focus ~ pet supply collection

As we enter the New Year,  we kick-off our community initiative for January! This month we are donating to local animal shelters. After the holidays, they become crowded with animals that were given as gifts that new owners cannot take care of. They are in need of cleaning supplies and animal food. We are excited to donate to The Philadelphia Bully Team as members of our community have very close ties with these organizations. The Donation Bin can be found in our community space!

Philly Bully Team founded by Jess and Marvin has helped hundreds of dog’s this year alone. Philly Bully Team pulls dogs from the Philadelphia shelter often just moments from euthanasia. They take in owner surrenders at times and dogs from shelters outside of Philadelphia, anywhere we see a dog in need of rescuing. They also offer resources to the community to prevent owners from having to surrender their animals.

Philly Bully Team often takes in the cases that no other rescue wants to take because of the enormous monetary responsibilities they require. They have taken in severely emaciated dogs who Penn vet has stated the worst case they have ever seen. They have taken in amputee dogs from Thailand, behavioral cases and much more. Philly Bully Team is a foster-based rescue and runs off of donations. Without the donations that they receive they could not function and would not be able to rescue these animals.
