In 2005, Allison discovered that practicing yoga was a stress reliever while attending the University of Pittsburgh and a fitness compliment to marathon training. What started as hour-long workouts on the mat, soon turned into a lifestyle encouraging balance and calm off of the mat and into her life.
Allison completed the Beyond Asana 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2014 and traveled to Malawi with her fellow teacher trainees to build a school in the Mchereka Village through the organization buildOn. This experience inspired Allison and is reflected in her classes and her teaching style. She taps into the love and sense of community of this special village in Africa in order to build confidence in her students and allow for a creative and energetic experience during class.
Upon becoming pregnant with her first child in 2016, she found her passion to teach women on the sacred journey of motherhood. That year, she became certified to teach prenatal and postnatal yoga through Dig Yoga’s 85-hour Teacher Training (Lambertville, NJ). In 2017, after the birth of her daughter and a sparked interest in sharing yoga with children, she completed the Next Generation Yoga Teacher Training. All of her classes will explore movement, mindfulness, and relaxation in an energetic, creative, and safe space for students, expectant and new mothers, as well as little yoginis.
Allison lives in Conshohocken, Pa with her husband and daughter, surrounded and supported by a beautiful community, with a focus on being of service to others, and committed to living a life that’s good, healthy, and fun.
