Autumn ~ September 27th, 1-3
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), autumn is the season of the Metal element, corresponding to the lungs and large intestine, and is focused on dryness, introspection, and letting go.
In this workshop you can expect:
- A Yin yoga practice targeting the lungs and large intestine channels of energy
- Pranayama (breathwork) to expand the chest and support lung function
- Discussion of dietary choices that correspond with the season
- To learn why establishing an early sleep cycle and protecting your neck support this transition to Autumn

Jen has been teaching yoga for 15 years and is known for seamlessly integrating yogic philosophy into her practices. She teaches both yin yoga and vinyasa yoga, and brings her knowledge of each into all of her classes.
Jen is also quite versed on the teaching of Chinese Medicine and how each season is honored through practice, nutrition and mindfulness. She created this series with the hope that it helps students move more mindfully through seasonal shifts. She is a Senior Teacher and Co-Leader of Yoga Home’s 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program.
