Yoga & Body Image – A Healing Workshop
Body image may not be a ‘new’ topic, but given the current “Skinny” culture trend, it’s worth taking a pause to reflect on our habits, how we treat ourselves and what we put out into the world.
Join Leiza Stanley, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Therapist and Owner of Revive Wellness and Kerri Hanlon, Owner and Lead Teacher, Yoga Home for an afternoon to look at body Image and diet culture to find pathways to healing.

Through reflective practices and compassionate inquiry, Leiza will offer space to soften inherited narratives, explore body image healing, and begin creating a kinder, more grounded way of relating to your body.
Kerri will speak to aspects of a yoga practice that facilitates a true mind-body-spirit connection. By integrating more than yoga postures and having a deeper understanding of the practice, you’ll have more tools to draw upon to support you as you navigate body awareness.
Following our discussion, you’ll enjoy a Restorative Yoga practice, designed to soothe the nervous system, reduce stress & anxiety, and improve emotional health.
This is an afternoon that promotes healing in every aspect. Whether you’re someone who’s just becoming aware of this topic, post-recovery or somewhere in between, you’ll find it time well spent.
Because conversations like this can bring up tender, personal experiences, confidentiality becomes an essential part of the container. Please know participants will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement so all may feel safe in this brave space.
This offering is gender‑inclusive and affirming. All are welcome, ages 16+.
