Community Chair Yoga at CES

Join us for a gentle form of yoga that is practiced seated on a chair or standing, using a chair for support. It is ideal for those seeking the physical and mental benefits of yoga but may have limited mobility or balance as a result of the aging process, injury, or other medical issues. Expect to experience the many benefits of practice, including stress reduction, increased flexibility and strength, and cultivation of the mind-body connection.

Please bring a yoga mat.  Chairs and props will be provided.

Tuesdays, September 29th – October 20th ~ $40

  • Chair Yoga for Beginners – 6:00pm – 7:00 pm

  • Chair Yoga – 7:15 pm – 8:15 pm

About your presenter:

Sharon Marino 

Sharon (she/her) is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Facilitator, this session offers an adaptable, healing-centered, and trauma-informed approach to yoga. Sharon’s journey into yoga began as an athlete seeking kindness for her body and evolved into a lifelong commitment to mind, heart, and spirit wellness. With training from Breathe for Change, Sharon is passionate about using chair yoga to empower individuals of all abilities to discover their inner strength and balance.

As a former principal and educator in Philadelphia for over 20 years, Sharon brings a unique blend of expertise, compassion, and leadership to her teaching. Her approach is rooted in the belief that wellness and access to healing practices are for everyone, and she partners with communities to create meaningful change. Sharon’s work aligns beautifully with Yoga Home’s mission: “to educate and empower individuals through the art and science of yoga, engage in sustainable community outreach, and support spiritual growth.”

Currently Sharon serves as an educational coach and consultant through her LLC, Marigold, is a member of her local school board and other organizations committed to ensuring equitable opportunities.
