reset & restore ~ by co-founder, Kerri Hanlon

As I’m writing this, I’m getting ready for Spring Break.  It’s somewhat bittersweet, as this  is the last “official” Spring Break for our family.  With my son graduating from college this year, there will be no more coordinating of school and work calendars to find time for a get away.  Whether the time was spent at home, visiting grandparents or finding adventure, it was always time to refresh, reset and find some joy as winter draws to a somewhat reluctant end.

As life has marched on, I’ve found it increasingly important to take time to reflect, process, and pause.  This is one of the reasons why I’m so grateful to be hosting Reset & Restore with my partner, Maura.  I know how challenging it can be to carve out the time for self-care – the demands of everyday life are real.  But I’ve also seen in my body and soul the effect of taking this time.  When I don’t give myself this gift, I’m more easily overwhelmed, frustrated and can find myself in the never ending cycle of “to-dos”.

I love a weekend that includes yoga, time spent outdoors, nourishing food, naps, cozy cups of tea with friends.  This retreat is designed to be just that – and you determine what you need.  There’s time.  Time to explore the woods or explore your soul through journaling.  Time for cozy conversation, reflection, journaling, laughter, tears – all of it.  Giving ourselves the gift of time – it’s a gift that fills our cup so we’re more able to be present for others in our daily lives.

I hope you’ll join us!
