Maureen came to yoga after battling advanced stage Ovarian Cancer. As her practice has grown, Maureen has come to cherish the sense of community found at Yoga Home, as well as the wide range of classes.
Maureen earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University and she enjoyed a successful career in Human Resource Management. She has 3 boys, and experience in small business ownership. Through her yoga practice Maureen has learned to manage the anxiety and fear that comes with the unpredictability of all of these endeavors.
When not working or practicing yoga, Maureen can be found working with community teens to raise awareness regarding the symptoms of Ovarian Cancer. She was recently honored with the Donna Webb Spirit of Survivorship Award, recognizing her work spreading awareness and raising money for research. It is Maureen’s goal to make sure that all women know as much about Ovarian Cancer as they do about breast cancer, and she and her son work tirelessly to make this happen.
