Prana ( Yoga-Sanskrit),Chi or Qi (Tai Chi, Qigong -Mandarin), are two terms that both mean the living, conscious, intrinsic, extrinsic, and natural energy pervading through reality. By being attentive to the changes in Yin and Yang in one’s life, and integrating these changes into daily practice, Humans can become conscious of Qi Flow in and around the Body. This Qi awareness can be used for healing, health, creativity, expression, awareness, spirituality, self defense and overall holistic wellness of the human organism.
During this series, Yogis, Qigong adepts, Tai Chi Players, Energy workers, Healers, Dancers, and movers of all kinds — awaken to the similarities, synchronicity, and variations of Tai Chi, Yoga, and Qigong as cohesive siblings of holistic energy art forms! Learning how to interlace these wonderful system’s fundamental principles of balance and harmony can pervade, enrich, and enlighten the yogic practice of all sentient beings.
Prana Chi Infusion will explore the biomechanics of fluid movements, weight shifts, spherical chambers of energy, emotions, coordination, relaxation, and balance. These characteristics will be incorporated in an integrated progressive 4 part sequenced movement series.
Participants will discover and engage in:
Qi filled postures flowing from one asana to the other
the relevance of Chakras, Dan tians (Chambers), Sound, Vibration, and Mudras
how the concepts of yin and yang interchange throughout the practice
The ability to identify restoring, retaining, cultivating, cleansing, clearing and purging shapes and postures will also be explored.
