About Us

At Yoga Home, our vision is to create a holistically based community of empowered, happy and healthy individuals.

Why We’re Here

Our mission is to educate and empower individuals through the art and science of yoga, engage in sustainable community outreach and support the spiritual growth and evolution of all our members. We strive to create a safe and inclusive space for all who enter and it is our highest intention to integrate mind-body approaches and wellness practices into mainstream daily life to do our part in creating a world that acknowledges the sacredness of all things and thrives to its fullest capacity.

What We Value

At Yoga Home, our core values drive our mission and empower our decision-making process. We embody and model these values in our business practices, programming and team development.

Connection: As all things in life are intertwined, we create connection – to self, to others, the world, a higher power. At Yoga Home, we foster connectedness of mind, body and spirit.

Acceptance: We cultivate a society where compassion and respect for self and others is forefront in all we do — embracing and celebrating our unique gifts, talents and differences.

Community: Nurturing relationships and being in community with others fosters a deeper sense of purpose. We are of service to ourselves and to each other, in both our own neighborhood and across the globe.

Love: We believe in the transformative power of love. We encourage vulnerability and joy in each of our journeys towards our highest self.

Growth: We recognize the human potential and fuel it with inspiration and creativity to support each other’s growth. We empower each other to be in integrity in our process towards both individual and collective truth.

Who We Serve

Because the state of yoga is the birthright of every individual, Yoga Home’s mission is to provide access to the practice and teachings of yoga to all people, regardless of perceived barriers such sex, gender, race, age, ethnicity, class, religion, sexual orientation, clothing, demeanor, relationship status, or any other choice or identity. Together as a community, we will foster a safe, nurturing and empowering environment appropriate for all practitioners.

Since 2014

Yoga Home was co-founded in 2014 by Kerri Hanlon and Maura Manzo. The studio was built on what they seek most as students, teachers and community members ~ a space where everyone is free to be themselves, exploration and curiosity are nurtured and collectively sharing our unique gifts with others is encouraged. During the pandemic, Yoga Home closed its studio on Elm Street and pivoted to offering online and outdoor classes. In May 2022, we reopened at our new location on 8th and Hallowell.

Our Offerings

In addition to our regular schedule, Yoga Home has an active Corporate and School Yoga program, bringing yoga to businesses and students on-site. Our Adaptive Yoga Program, led by Kerri Hanlon, serves individuals with disabilities and chronic illnesses. We host local and national presenters on everything from dismantling racism to body image to yoga for recovery.

Yoga Home prides itself on curating a team of skilled teachers, so you’re guaranteed a wise investment of your time and financial resources. Whether you’re just starting out or have hundreds of practices on your mat, we have an offering for you.
